Contact and Records Routes

Sioux County Busted Mugshots is a private reference resource, not a government office. It cannot confirm a custody status, release a person, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Those requests must go directly to the government office responsible for the record.

Official Sioux County Record Contacts

The current official county sources identify the Sheriff’s Office as the law-enforcement starting point and the County Clerk as the forwarding route when the responsible department is unclear. The county website does not publish a separate jail phone, records-unit email, booking-photo form, online booking portal, or public jail roster. For a records request, ask the office for the proper routing procedure and make the request specific to the record and date range.

Sioux County Sheriff’s Office
325 Main Street
Harrison, NE 69346
Mail: P.O. Box 305, Harrison, NE 69346
Office: (308) 668-2418
Fax: (308) 668-2419
Chadron dispatch: (308) 432-0510

If the office does not answer, the official Sheriff’s Office page says to remain on the line for a connection to Chadron dispatch. That routing instruction is not a separate jail-records line.

Sioux County Clerk, Michelle Zimmerman
Courthouse: 325 Main Street, Harrison, NE 69346
Mail: P.O. Box 158, Harrison, NE 69346
Phone: (308) 668-2443

General county office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays and weekends. The county does not publish separate public records-counter hours for the jail. Emergency response and dispatch should not be assumed to follow courthouse office hours.

The county FAQ says to contact the department in charge of the requested record. When that is uncertain, the County Clerk can forward the request. The county advises that an approximate fee will be provided before chargeable work proceeds. See the county contact page for the published general-office schedule.

Choose the source that matches the question:

  • For a Sioux County booking record or current local custody question, start with the Sheriff’s Office. The county records hub explains the locally verified access limits.
  • For a court case, hearing, charge change, or disposition, use Sioux County Court or the statewide JUSTICE case search. Court records are not live custody or warrant confirmation.
  • For a sentenced state-prison record, use the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services search. It does not replace a Sioux County booking record.
  • For a federal custody question, use the Federal Bureau of Prisons inmate locator, which covers federal custody rather than county jail intake.
  • For an immediate safety issue, call 911. For a non-emergency warrant concern, use the Sheriff’s Office or Chadron dispatch route, not an unverified online listing.
